In the Jiangnan region during the plum rain season, fine rain drizzles continuously, heavy mist lingers, and the spring rain patters down, tapping on windows and the ground, playing a symphony of spring. At this moment, in the assembly workshop of Chunhui Smart Control Heating Control Division, the atmosphere is bustling with activity, and workers are busy and orderly at their respective posts. The end of the rainy season marks the peak season for wall-hung boiler parts, and the entire division is operating at full capacity to meet the ever-growing product demands of customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a newly designated area of the workshop, more than a dozen people are busy, among them a tall figure is loudly explaining, conducting product assembly training for over a dozen employees. He is Lv Jiang, a technician in the Heating Control Division\u2014a self-challenging engineer who pursues \u201cresetting to zero.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lv Jiang joined Chunhui in August 2008, starting his career as a machine operator in the machining workshop. In addition to completing tasks assigned by his mentor, he most enjoyed taking on new challenges. Whenever he encountered unfamiliar products, he would humbly seek advice from senior employees and learn from the team leader. With this eagerness to learn, he combined theoretical knowledge of metal cutting processes with practical experience, mastering the operation of machining equipment and the skills of parts processing technology. After several years of hard work, he quickly became capable of working independently, was promoted to team leader, and proactively helped newcomers adapt to new positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012, when there was a need for technical staff, Lv Jiang volunteered and secured the new position, as he enjoyed the challenge of starting from scratch. In his words, this was not about \u201cabandoning\u201d what he knew, but rather \u201cresetting to zero\u201d temporarily\u2014only by clearing out can one absorb more. In the new position, he \u201creset\u201d himself, quickly mastered 3D drawing software, and used these tools, along with his familiarity with processing technology, to independently design assembly jigs and fixtures, and collaborated with colleagues to redesign test benches. For example, he modified the internal and external leakage test bench from one station to two, integrating the fixture disassembly time into the one-minute external leakage test; the testing efficiency for single workpieces increased by 20%. The semi-automatic safety valve equipment he organized and designed improved efficiency by 36% and the first-pass yield by 14%, among other achievements. As his technical work deepened, his understanding of product performance became more comprehensive. In 2015, the Heating Division positioned engineering plastic water circuits as a brand-new product for comprehensive market development. Building on the original side-insert plastic water circuit and combining it with the front-insert copper water valve product, Lv Jiang designed the front-insert water circuit, which became the best-selling flagship product with the most customers. With this first attempt, subsequent new product designs became much smoother, and he currently has several products under design and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, orders for heating products surged, and how to quickly resolve the bottleneck of insufficient capacity became the top priority for the Heating Control Division. At this time, Lv Jiang, always ready to challenge himself, stepped forward again and volunteered to assist in the assembly workshop to boost capacity. During this period, due to a shortage of personnel, the division brought in temporary labor to help. Lv Jiang was entrusted with the task of assisting the workshop in setting up a production line for sleeve machines staffed by labor workers. From arranging the assembly line, designing the process flow, to assigning personnel tasks, he completed everything meticulously. Hard work always pays off\u2014the line reached a daily output of 2,000 units in a short time. When many difficult tasks were accomplished and everyone gave him a thumbs up, Lv Jiang's hearty laughter echoed throughout the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cContinuous rain makes one unaware that spring has gone; only when it clears does one realize summer is deep.\u201d The plum rain comes and goes in a hurry, and soon, the scorching heat and bright sun will arrive. A new starting point is calling him\u2014may Lv Jiang go further on this path and climb to even greater heights!
